September is Suicide Prevention Month, and we at N provide a safe space for our community to connect, share and get support where and when you need it most. Studies have shown that over the past few years, suicides in the Black community have risen dramatically. While many factors have contributed to this unfortunate increase, including the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to help silence the stigma around mental health in our community.
Join us on Monday, September 9th, at 1 p.m. for a special Instagram Live session, “A Personal Story: Navigating Suicide.” This event will feature an intimate conversation with entrepreneur, leader and mental health advocate Crystal Young.
Young’s personal story of loss, community, and healing has transformed into supporting the mental health journeys of first responders after her husband, who was a police officer, succumbed to suicide. Her commitment to wellness and leadership spans her career as CEO of Level Up Lifestyle, co-owner of Memories on Wayberry consignment store, Creative Director of Faith Girls and much more! Young attributes her passions and gifts to her 20+ year retail management and human resources career.
Whether you've experienced suicide loss, had thoughts of self-harm, or seeking help to support a loved one, we hope you will join our CEO, Angela Walker and Crystal Young for a life-changing discussion. Be sure to follow us on Instagram @NNaturalhairstudio.
