Join us at the salon next Friday, May 24 to meet and greet with Jeannell Darden the owner of Coco Curls Natural Hair Care as she demos her signature product, the Coco Curls Moisturizing styling cream! Angela and the rest of the “N” stylists will also be on deck showcasing their beautiful natural styles.

This month only:
For loose hair: $45 for the first hour, then $10 for each additional hour

It’s May! They say April showers bring May flowers and change is a comin’ !! We have a few updates for ya

Our $5 price increase for stylists with 4+ years experience begins this month. Also, our stylist in training Mikesha, will soon no longer be in training. That’s right she’s quickly approaching full-blown professional natural hair stylist status. Woo-Hoo!! For the month of May when you book with Mikesha you can expect the following prices:

For loose hair: $45 for the first hour, then $10 for each additional hour
For Locs: $50 for the first hour, then $10 for each additional hour

We will be hosting a free event with Coco Curls on Friday, May 24th from 7-9pm. Come out for hair tutorials, hair advice and meet the owner of Coco Curls herself Jeannell Darden. For more info click HERE.

Lastly, starting in the month of June we will no longer accept cash. Yes you read that right, and NOPE that was not a typo. We will accept credit cards ONLY for services and products. However, if you wish to tip your stylist (excluding Angela) or your shampoo belle, you may do so in cash.

The theme of our 2013 show is ‘The Transition’ and this photoshoot is to recreate a vintage look highlighting the Modern Naturalista Movement. We’re looking for models of all sizes, skin tones and hair textures. Models get access to their photos plus a free ticket to Alikay Naturals Presents The Naturalista Hair Show.

We’re at it again!

N Natural Hair Studio is teaming up with Coco Curls to bring you another dope event called “Coco Curls & Conversation” which will take place Friday, May 24 from 7pm – 9pm. You’ll have the chance to meet N Natural Hair Studio owner, Angela Walker, as well as Jeannell Darden, the creator of Coco Curls Natural Hair Care!

The event will also feature product demos, music, drinks, desserts and giveaways!

Enjoying the nice weather out there?

We know all you fabulous naturalistas want to usher in the spring time with a fresh new do, however, our books are getting filled very quickly and we’re sorry to inform you that Angela is now overbooked for the month of April. But don’t fret! You can start to book your May appointments now. Appointments booked more than 6 weeks in advance will require a $30 non- refundable deposit.

Also, our dear stylist Candace is working on an abbreviated schedule until her hand feels better and will only be taking clients who request her by phone.

Lastly, prices for our stylists with 4+ years of experience will be increasing by $5 starting in May.

You can book your appointments by calling the studio or by booking online through our handy, dandy appointment scheduler.

Letter from the Owner

Hello Fam-lay

For those of you who don’t know me, I am Angela Walker, the owner of N Natural Hair Studio. For those who do know me, what’s happenin’ !?

Yesterday marked our 1yr anniversary here at the studio and I took the time to reflect. Reflect on painting the salon, holding our Grand Opening and being open and able to serve each and everyone of you. I would like to thank all of you for the love and support you’ve shown the studio over this past year.

To all the faces N Natural Hair Studio has granted me the opportunity of meeting and getting to know thank you. Thank you for taking a chance on an unknown salon and bringing great jokes and energy into the studio. You make our days fun through laughter and sharing your story and life long lessons with us ‘young folk’.

And to my clients, I thank you for sticking with me. Through all the schedule changes, getting adjusted to other people washing your hair (you know who I’m talking too, lol) asking you to come in earlier, asking you to wait 5 min, having to remind me to put in your appts, texting me twice before I respond… Dang that sounds really bad now that I write that lol. But seriously, it means a lot to me that you’ve stayed by my side through thick and thin and know that I truly appreciate you and all the richness you brought and will continue to bring into my life.

We took a survey last month and it really opened my eyes to improvments we can make at the studio. Know that every team member read every response and we are going down the list of suggestions you all have made. Continue to keep lines of communication open with us and we will continue to give you the best service we can. We’re into our second year. And I’m feeling like its going to be a great one.
